Committee agreed to:-
 
1.         make the
following addition to the recommendation:-
 
Note that there is
additional period of time for further community discussion on the
options for alternative venues for library service delivery in
Newmachar, and the outcome and service proposal will be reported to
Garioch Area Committee for comment prior to be reported to
Communities Committee on 5 June 2025; and
 

2.         provide
the following comments to Communities Committee:-

a)         Insch
– welcome the work done, the community consultation and the
agreement made with Insch Institute to get a positive
resolution.

           
b)        
Newmachar – welcome the extension and further
consultation;

c)         Kintore
– Welcome the proposal not to reduce the public opening hours
and request that any ongoing engagement is well advertised and that
the timing of events is carefully considered to include as many
residents as possible.
