Purpose

This report presents the Council’s
fourth set of Equality Outcomes, which build on the current
outcomes and establish new ones. These outcomes aim to support and
continue the Council's efforts to reduce social inequality in
Aberdeenshire.

Content

Committee agreed to provide the following
comments on the proposed Equality Outcomes 2025- 2029:
 
 
·      
Considering budget savings and future ways of working with
communities, should the outcome be amended to reflect this.
·      
Consider making Makaton compulsory in schools, noted already
delivered on a voluntary basis.  
·      
Access panels to be included in engagement work if not already.
·      
E-learning equalities - 3-year refresher training for members to be
confirmed.
