Purpose

The purpose of this report and accompanying
appendix is to provide an update to the Area Committee on how the
Education & Children’s Services (ECS) Directorate is
actively contributing to the Council’s overarching strategic
priorities outlined within the Aberdeenshire Council Plan 2024-2029
strategic performance framework.

whether there was any use of tablets with styluses
in schools to support handwriting;

an update on the planned community workshop on Live
Life Aberdeenshire buildings in Huntly;
(3) 
contact for support for early learning and childcare
organisations;
(4) 
contact for businesses interested in being a
foundation apprenticeship provider;
(5) 
data on post-school destinations of those
undertaking foundation apprenticeships to understand whether young
people were moving into careers linked to the apprenticeship
subject.
