Full council record
Purpose
The application is for major
development.
Content
Committee refused to grant Full Planning
Permission on the grounds that:
1.
The proposal is contrary to National Planning Framework policy 11
(Energy) and to Aberdeenshire Local Development Plan policies P1
(Layout, Siting and Design) and E2 (Landscape) in that;
i.
Project design and mitigation has not been satisfactory;
ii.
Layout, siting and design do not demonstrate the six qualities of
successful places. The proposed location is on a prominent site and
will therefore have an impact on amenity and landscape;
iii.
The proposal is not consistent with the six qualities of successful
places which include supporting attention to detail of local
architecture styles and natural landscapes to be interpreted as the
development of battery containers are alien to the setting; and
iv.
The material consideration of the deliverability of the project due
to the lack of connection to the grid.
