Report regarding the implementation of new
speed limits within Banff & Buchan

The recommendations as per the
report; and

 

To request the following limits are
considered at Infrastructure Services Committee:

 
a)   
Cemetery Road, Fraserburgh - extend past Fraserburgh Golf Club
entrance for road safety reasons as there is a pedestrian crossing
and a lot of traffic.  
 

b)   
Strichen Road, Fraserburgh –
request the following: 
 
·      
replace 30mph with 20mph speed limit  -
parents requesting as a busy school route.
 
·      
extend 20mph speed limit past Kirkton Road junction and West Road
– school route and busy bus stop. 
 
·      
extend 20mph speed limit from roundabout at Boothby Road down to
A90. 

c)    
Ladysbridge – request to replace 60mph speed limit with 20mph
speed limit following representations at Area Committee, Health and
Safety concerns with 60mph limit heading towards a very busy
junction where there has been a number of serious accidents over
the years and also in terms of the residential area where residents
have raised concerns about speeding.
