Purpose

As required by Section C.5.2.1 of the List of
Committee Powers in the Scheme of Governance, the Committee are
required to make the final determination of the Asset Transfer
Request for the former Social Work Offices in Portlethen as the
recommendation from the Kincardine and Mearns Area Committee was
contrary to the recommendation of Officers.

M: (Cllr Victor / Cllr Aitchison) that the
Committee approve the Asset Transfer request from Portlethen &
District Men’s Shed for ownership of the former Social Work
Offices on Rowanbank Road, Portlethen, at the proposed purchase
price of £100.
 
A: (Cllr Keating / Cllr
Chapman) that the Committee agree to offer an Asset Transfer to
Portlethen & District Men’s Shed to transfer the
Rowanbank building for £92,500 which represents a
50% discount on the market
value in line with Officer recommendation.
