Having considered the Stage 1 Scrutiny Report,
agreed (1) that the Stage 1 Scrutiny Report provides
adequate reassurance and that a Stage 2 Workshop is not required,
(2) to instruct the Area Manager to write to the Director of
Business Services with the learning points identified within
paragraph 3.2.3 of the report as proposed areas for improvement
– with particular reference to the need for project
management and where a project evolves and develops from the
original scope that due consideration be given to this -
implementing these where appropriate and request that the Director
provides reassurance that these areas for improvement have or are
being addressed, (3) to request that the Director of Business
Services attends Buchan Area Committee for an informal session to
provide this reassurance, and (4) in considering the negative
publicity recently received, to highlight that the requirement for
a ‘useable events area’ in Drummers Corner resulted
from a public survey that was undertaken by Modo back in 2016 and
this is what has been delivered
