Following a vote (2:7) agreed to grant full
planning permission as a departure from Policy 1 of the Cairngorms
National Park Local Development Plan on the grounds that the
proposed development was on the immediate edge of the settlement
with a dwelling adjacent to the North East; the proposal would have
little impact on natural heritage or the site’s setting in
the context of the Braemar Conservation Area;  and the merits of the specific need case of the
applicant to support their business which served the local
community.
