Committee agreed to provide the
following comments to the Aberdeenshire Community Planning
Partnership:-
 

a)       Consideration
should be given to the inclusion of Kintore to have a full Place
Plan due to the ongoing expansion and subsequent increase in
population;

b)       The flow
chart should be reviewed to ensure that the connection between Area
Committees and Policy Committees/Full Council is clear;

c)       The third
last bullet on Page 231 should be amended to remove “and/or
island locations.”

d)       Page 230
– bullet 1 should be changed to clarify whether all three
issues relate to women only;

e)       Caution
should be exercised as there are differing interpretations for
equitable outcomes and we need to manage expectations. The Council
needs to be clear what it means by equitable outcomes;

f)        Clarity
is required in the strategy to ensure that Place is not an
exclusive lens that corporate processes are seen through.  The
wording in the last paragraph of Page 237 needs to be
reviewed.

g)       There are
concerns about the Council having the resources and the capacity to
implement the Place Policy and Strategy;

h)       Committee
thanked all officers for the work done to date and commended the
work already done in Inverurie.
