Provided the following comments:
a)
Clarification on the difference between Area Manager Teams and Area
Management Teams was welcomed,
b)
It would be helpful if the order of Place Plan Developments to be
carried out, as listed in Appendix 1, could be altered where we
have communities ready to start sooner,
c)
The Place Strategy, with a clear focus on community is
welcomed,
d)
This all needs to align with the Medium Term Financial
Strategy,
e)
The use of the Place and Wellbeing Matrix for each Academy town
will drive evidence-based interventions, and the information
gathered will then be consistent across Aberdeenshire,
f)
Our towns and villages are all different so we can’t assume
one size fits all,
g)
A greater emphasis on Place and Wellbeing Economy needs to be
incorporated into the strategy to cohesively link our actions to
outputs, linking the Place Strategy to the refreshed Council Plan
and the delivery of the Aberdeenshire Economic Action Plan, and the
Regional Economic Strategy,
h)
In terms of the principles detailed within the draft Place Policy
at Appendix 1, the first which links to “Healthy”
should refer to the whole of society, not just women, with an
additional point on women’s safety thereafter, and
i)
The Place Planning Framework shown in Appendix 2 appears to be two
separate diagrams as the lower part does not link to the top
section. There needs to be better linkage, showing how the
Community Planning Partnership Board feeds back.
