Purpose
The report will provide members with an update
on progress with works in 2023-24 and details of proposed works in
2024-25.
Content
Provided the following comments to
Infrastructure Services Committee:
a)
It’s great to see works planned for the A947 this year, and
updates in relation to this would be welcomed in due course,
b)
In noting that we have less funding available towards improving
road conditions, reactive maintenance was accepted as necessary to
prioritise ongoing issues,
c)
The works at Waterside Bridge in Newburgh are welcomed,
d)
It would be helpful for the Service to work in collaboration with
Ythan Community Council, in relation to the upgrading of lighting
on the paths by the riverside in Ellon.
The Community Council have secured funding to look at improving the
lighting for wildlife.
e)
It would be helpful if the information provided in future reports
could provide detail of which Ward each item related to,
f)
Works being carried out to footpaths was welcomed for pedestrians,
and
g)
Thanks was given to the Service for all the works they carry
out.
