The Banff and Buchan Area Committee of Aberdeenshire Council agreed to the Public Sector Equality Duty on 15 September 2026. The committee was reminded of its legal duty to have due regard to eliminating discrimination, advancing equality of opportunity, and fostering good relations between people with protected characteristics. Members were directed to consider Integrated Impact Assessments where applicable to inform their decisions.
