Purpose

It is the duty of a planning authority to
formulate and publish proposals for the preservation and
enhancement of conservation areas. The Udny Green Conservation Area
review and the creation of the Conservation Area Appraisal and
Management Plan documents are a result of this process. Committee
are being asked to confirm these documents as planning
advice.

Content

The Committee approved the
recommendations within the report, also highlighting a spelling
error on page 8 of the Conservation Appraisal at paragraph 3, where
it should read “known” rather than know; and welcoming
the inclusion of sympathetic UVPC, where appropriate, as per the
relaxation of permitted development rights which had newly been
introduced.
