Purpose

To present an update on the Aberdeen Rapid
Transist project being lead by colleagues in Aberdeen City,
including detail on the proposed routing. Feedback from the
Committee will enable further progression of the City Council's
Strategic Business Case for the project.

The workshop held in March was very useful for
members.

·      
Forrester hill health campus being connected is very
important for people in North Aberdeenshire.

·      
Queried the difference between a park and ride site
and a mobility hub.

·      
Members were pleased to see Portlethen was going to
be a hub however there should be good connections between the hub
and outlying towns.

·      
Concern that Aberdeen was no longer a place that
people from Aberdeenshire choose to go and therefore potential
impact on demand for the service.

·      
Request to ensure that bus operators were consulted
on proposals.

·      
Concerns were expressed on the timescales and
potential impacts on bus companies.
