Purpose

The Head of Planning and Economy has the power
under Section F.4.6 of Part 2B List of Officer Powers in the Scheme
of Governance to respond to consultations on applications from the
Scottish Government. He has decided not to exercise the delegated
power in this particular case due to the scale and nature of the
proposed development.

Content

Committee supported Aberdeenshire Councils
consultation response to object for the reasons outlined in
the report and provided the following comments to ISC for
consideration:

Historical impacts cannot be mitigated against.

·      
Noise impacts of the turbines on residents and impacts of the
blasting during implementation phase.

·      
Biodiversity impacts thoroughly investigated.
