Purpose

Provide members with the outcome of the 5 year review of the Roads Winter Maintenance Policy and any accompanying documentation and ask for comments from members.

Content

  The Committee agreed to provide the following comments to Infrastructure Services Committee:   ·       Grit Bins/Priority Routes/Footways – take cognisance of Fairer Scotland Duty ·       Communications Strategy – include private sector to share messaging, role around not encouraging employees to travel on affected roads, winter preparedness. ·       Operational Plan – include gradient in the matrix for rural schools.
