Purpose

This report consists of Aberdeenshire
Council’s first Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy
(LHEES). Production of the LHEES is a statutory requirement. The
strategy and associated delivery plan are to be reviewed at least
every five years. The aim of an LHEES is to set out a long-term
plan for how each local authority will decarbonise the heat supply
in buildings and improve their energy efficiency across the entire
local authority area. The draft has been consulted upon both
internally and publicly. Comments received have been reviewed for
inclusion or amendment of the strategy. Committee are asked to
review and consider the strategy and approve for
publication.
