Committee provided the following comments on
the on the draft Strategic Housing Investment Plan 2025-2030:
 
1.   
IIA – clarity required at 7.1 (consumption of physical
resources, waste and circularity, circular economy transition)
& 7.5 on the neutral impact on costs and resources which will
be required to deliver net zero standards.  Queried if funding be accessed externally to help
deliver the required standards.

 
2.   
Feeback from communities in Mearns that low-cost shared equity
housing is needed.
 

Information to be circulated to Members on:
·       
Matchmakers empty homes scheme and
referral mechanisms
·       
Ring fencing thresholds from council tax second home revenues and
long-term empty properties to deliver new build homes.
