Purpose

The annual governance statement (AGS) is a
mandatory requirement on local government bodies and is published
by the Council with its annual accounts. In essence it is an
accountability statement from the Council to stakeholders on how
well we have delivered on governance over the course of the
previous year. The AGS has been considered by policy committees for
their assurance that they have complied with the code and is
presented to Audit committee for sign off.
