To award the contract to a consultant to
provide an Employment Land Review (ELR) for the Adur District.The
proposal is to award the contract to Lichfields UK who are specialists in ELR’S
and have undertaken studies for the Council's in the past. The
commission is due to take 16 weeks from the date of the inception
meeting (tbc) and cost £34,500.
 

Reasons for the decision

The review of the Adur Local Plan requires an updated evidence base
to underpin the policy approach in the new Local Plan and to
justify the approach at public examination of the Plan.

Alternative options considered

Originally considered appointment via the RFQ
process but no bids received so pursuing a Direct
Award.  The Direct Award is to a Company
that has worked for the Council before and has a good understanding
of the issues facing Adur and the
sub-economic region.
