Following the procurement exercise, to appoint
the preferred bidder, J Cheesmur & Sons (Lewes) Ltd to install
a new Changing Places facility in The Shoreham Centre for the
Contract Sum of £87,903.00, using grant funding from the
Changing Places Fund.

Reasons for the decision

To provide a Changing Places Facility for
disabled persons in Shoreham-by-Sea.
 
Failure to deliver by the end of March 2023
would result in withdrawal of the grant funding.

Alternative options considered

A feasibility study was prepared prior to the
tender that considered three options and these were discussed and
reviewed in consultation with key stakeholders and Cllr Evans and
Cllr Albury. The agreed option was then taken forward to the open
tender.
