·
Reviewed and agreed to the proposed contract extension covering a
five year period. The cost of the contract in year one is
£139,647.97 with a total cost over the five year period of
approximately £756,389.

·
Instruct the Assistant Director for Housing and Homelessness
Prevention to proceed with the procurement process as advised.

Reasons for the decision

Adur Homes must have a strong and effective
housing management system in place to meet the new national
consumer standards and to successfully implement the Improvement
Plan agreed with the Regulator of Social Housing.
To maintain business continuity, we want to
remain with MRI who provide the Orchard software, as transitioning
to a new system would be resource-intensive and could cause
significant disruption.

Alternative options considered

Transitioning to a new system would be
resource-intensive and could cause significant disruption.
A 3 year renewal was considered but that
wouldn’t take us through the Local Government Review where
there will be expected significant change. Larger discounts on
modules were available over the longer 5 year contract.
