To secure a contract for a period of 5 years
with West Pier Telecom Ltd for the hosting and support of our Avaya
telephony system.
Reasons for the decision
Contract Background: Our current 3-year
contract with West Pier Telecoms Ltd is approaching its expiration
in September 2025.
Strategic Importance: Undertaking a new
contract with West Pier Telecom Ltd ensures continuity of service
and software, minimising disruption to the organisation and reduces
resource requirements.
Financial Implications: The contract
offered delivers significant revenue cost savings; 10%
reduction on the current contract.
Alternative options considered
The system is essential as it manages the
incoming and outgoing calls for the Councils, including the
integration of the Contact Centre and Crematorium agent system.
Other products are higher costs and involve the migration to new
servers and re-integration of the contact centre agent software.
Both these tasks come within high financial and resource
overheads.
