Purpose

This report was circulated to Councillors, and
published on the Council’s website on 19th June

The following consultation responses were noted by
the decision makers: Cllr Beccy Cooper, Leader of Worthing Borough
Council and Cllr Neil Parkin, Leader of Adur District Council:-
Councillor Vicki Wells submitted an expression of interest for this
role.

The Leaders of Adur District and Worthing Borough Councils have
appointed Councillor Vicki Wells as a representative for
Adur and Worthing Councils on the South
Downs National Park Authority for a term of up to 4 years.

Reasons for the decision

ADC Leader: Supported the Worthing
Leader’s proposed appointment as it was Worthing Borough
Councils turn to appoint for a term of 4 years.
 
WBC Leader: The role of SDNPA aligns with
Councillor Wells Cabinet Portfolio (Environment) and she has the
time to dedicate to this additional role.
