property for a period of 3 years for the provision of temporary
accommodation for homeless households.

Reasons for the decision

To meet the Council’s statutory
obligations to accommodate households in housing need in accordance
with Part VII of the Housing Act 1996.

Alternative options considered

This decision forms part of the ongoing
programme to acquire and retain properties using cheaper long term
contracts to reduce expenditure on temporary accommodation and meet
housing needs.
