The Adur Cabinet
Member for Environment and Leisure:

That the virement of three combined
allocations of Section 106 money for Public Art be agreed, to be
processed for one commission on Coronation Green in
Shoreham-by-Sea. The contract for this artwork is to be awarded to
Peter Hudson and Dawn Parsonage of Light Space Color [sic] Ltd
within the available budget of £31,895.35.

Worthing Cabinet
Member for Regeneration:

The Worthing Cabinet Member abstains from this
decision as it is predominately an Adur Matter

Reasons for the decision

The proposed concept captures the maritime
history of Shoreham, and offers playful interaction with the
public.

Alternative options considered

An open Expression of Interest process
attracted over 35 applications to install public art on Coronation
Green. After interviews on 9th September 2025, officers agreed to
recommend the application from Light Space Color Ltd. Consideration
was given to using the three smaller pots of money individually,
potentially at different sites across Shoreham.
