Content

To enter into an additional contract with our
supplier, Bartec, for the supply of
routing software enabling us to design food waste rounds and to
enable us to monitor existing rounds going forwards delivering key
services to the residents of Adur & Worthing.

The contract cost is £72K over a three
year period with unlimited licences with on call service support
through dedicated support teams. This will be fully funded through
the DEFRA food waste grant.

Reasons for the decision

For the supply of routing and optimisation
software for round design and build.

Alternative options considered

A comparison of our existing software against
the proposed system has proved the new system is easier and quicker
to use.  This will be critical when
designing the new food waste collection rounds.  The new product compares favourably on cost.
