WBC Cabinet Member for Resources: I agree with
the recommendation to approve expenditure for a redundancy
resulting from not extending the externally funded fixed term
contract, noting the person in the role has over two years
continuous service and is therefore entitled to redundancy pay.

Reasons for the decision

WBC Cabinet Member for Resources: External
funding for this role is being removed. A number of projects being
carried out by this member of staff are nearing closure and work is
being transferred into other areas. Nonetheless the loss of this
role is regrettable and were the external funding still there the
Council would benefit from the role continuing.
