To award the contracts for Commercial Waste
Disposal for:

Lot 3 (Adur District and Worthing
Bough Councils: Mixed Municipal Waste) to Veolia ES (UK) Limited of
Pentonville Road, London, N1 9JY.   With an annual value of
£900k 

and 
 

Lot 4 (Adur District and Worthing
Borough Councils: Biodegradable Kitchen and Canteen Waste) to TJ
Waste and Recycling Limited of Wickham Road, Fareham, PO17 5BP with
an annual value of £10k

 

Reasons for the decision

Lot 3 decision; the tender process received 3
bids; Veolia achieved the highest score for both price and quality
of response, scoring a total of 75.33% of the available 100
points.
 
Lot 4 decision; the tender process received 2
bids; TJ Waste achieved the highest score for both price and
quality of response, scoring a total of 87.01% of the available 100
points.

Alternative options considered

The limited response particularly on Lot 4
could have been considered for retender however the two responses
met the councils criteria and pricing was within the expected
range. We have therefore not considered alternative approaches at
this stage.
