To award the JCT contract for capital delivery
of the instalment of modular buildings and ancillary works to
Portakabin in accordance with the Youth Investment Fund grant
funded project, procurement and instruction from the Funder

Reasons for the decision

To deliver the capital project to the benefit
of the centre’s operation and the new tenant.

Alternative options considered

The JCT and subsequent contractor was
nominated through the grant funder who undertook their own
procurement activity (that satisfied our own procedures and
policies) meaning there was no alternative option provided. 
The only option available beyond this is to cease the project
delivery.
 
The complexity of the project and specialism
of the contractor makes the appointment alignment perfect. 
Project delivery must be before the end of September 2026.
