Following a competitive tender process to
award the contract for the first phase of the replacement chalet
fronts to Beach Parade to Thomas Door & Window Controls for the
Contract sum of £116,069.00. Forming part of the
Council’s capital programme, this first phase comprises the
artists studios (chalet numbers 32-48), otherwise known as East
Beach Studios.

Reasons for the decision

The chalet fronts are life expired and require
replacement to prevent ongoing failure and increasing responsive
maintenance costs, loss of reputation and user complaints. Those in
the worst condition have been prioritised in this initial
phase.
