ADC Cabinet Member for Finance & Resources: I am happy to approve the award of this contract.

Approval of the award of a contract for a period of three years with options to extend for a further two years (1 plus 1) for the provision of cleaning services for the Town Hall, Portland House, Commerce way and the Shoreham Centre to Monitor Cleaning Services Ltd with a total cost of £685,000 to start on the 1st July 2026.

Approve the Service Director: Operations and Sustainability to enter into the contract with Monitor Cleaning Services Ltd and agree to the optional extension of the contract/s referred to in 2.1 subject to satisfactory performance.

Reasons for the decision

WBC Cabinet Member for Finance & Resources: The service is reduced but the new fee reflects this. The procurement process was followed.

ADC Cabinet Member for Finance & Resources: The chosen supplier who has been selected through the procurement process is also the current incumbent and historically they have provided us with a good standard of service. Although now reducing some of the service to the office areas across the sites to make savings, employees will be encouraged to maintain their own work spaces, there will now be an improved service at the Shoreham Centre for its users.
