Reasons for the decision

I approve the adoption of the
Character Appraisals and the proposed changes to the conservation
areas as outlined in the report. The public consultation was
comprehensive, involving valuable input from the community,
Historic England, local conservation groups, and residents.
Adopting these appraisals and designations will enhance the
preservation of Worthing’s heritage, support sustainable
development, and reflect our communities
aspirations. I am pleased to approve these recommendations and
support this vital conservation initiative
