In accordance with the delegated authority
granted by the Housing and Wellbeing Committee on 20 March 2025,
the Group Head of Housing, Wellbeing and Communities, in
consultation with the Chair of the Housing and Wellbeing Committee,
has approved the operational design and delivery process for the
Tenant Support Fund for 2025/26.

The scheme provides financial assistance for council tenants who
are not in receipt of housing-related benefits and who are newly
affected by the introduction of service charges. The aim is to
provide targeted, temporary relief for tenants facing affordability
challenges resulting from these new service charges.

The fund will be resourced by £75,000 from the approved
unallocated contingency budget, as agreed by the Housing and
Wellbeing Committee.
