Approval is granted to extend the Introductory
Tenancy of Mr xx residing at xx Ockley Court, Ockley Road, Bognor
Regis, by a further six months under Section 125A of the Housing
Act 1996.

Reasons for the decision

The tenant has breached the tenancy conditions
as outlined in Clause 38 of the Tenancy Agreement, which requires
rent and service charges to be paid on time and in advance.

The tenant has failed to meet this obligation, and the extension of
the Introductory Tenancy will allow further monitoring of
compliance with tenancy conditions before granting a full secure
tenancy.

This decision is made in accordance with the Council’s
policies on managing Introductory Tenancies and ensuring tenants
comply with their obligations before securing permanent tenancy
rights.

Alternative options considered

Proceeding to full Secure Tenancy: Rejected as
the tenant has not demonstrated full compliance with tenancy
terms.

Proceeding directly to Possession Action: Considered but rejected
at this stage, as an extension provides the tenant with an
opportunity to rectify the breaches.
