To terminate the contract between Arun
District Council and Aareon UK Limited, with termination taking
effect on 24 November 2024, in accordance with clause 25 of the
contract.

The termination letter has been sent to Aareon UK Limited,
confirming that support services will not continue beyond this
date.

Reasons for the decision

Arun District Council has decided to implement
the Civica Cx Housing Management System, replacing Aareon's housing
management system.

The Council no longer requires Aareon's support services beyond the
end of the support year as outlined in Schedule 1 of the
contract.

Formal notice of termination has been issued in compliance with the
contract terms.

Alternative options considered

Renewing the contract with Aareon –
Rejected, as the Council has chosen to transition to Civica Cx as
the new housing management system.

Early termination before 24 November 2024 – Rejected, as
aligning the termination date with the contract schedule ensures a
smooth transition while avoiding potential contractual disputes or
penalties.
