To direct award the above project to The
Filmworkers, for the value of £5,000.
Reasons for the decision
In accordance with ADC’s procurement
process, based on the project value, a direct award was made.
This project includes photography, short-form video and done
content to support marketing campaigns and showcase Arun
District’s vibrant tourism offer. Content will be used across
social media, the website, and wider communications.
It will
• Expand visual content library with fresh, engaging and brand
aligned visuals
• Inspire visitors through imagery that captures Arun’s
character, culture, and year-round appeal
• Reflect the area's natural beauty, history, and community
spirit through authentic, creative content
• Be delivered through partnership working with Arun District
Council and Vinco - who are currently delivering the social media
marketing
Four proposals were received, although it is not required for this
level of award, the officer decided to review and score proposals
and discussed with the economy team to get an indication of how
images and footage was received. The award was made to The
Filmworkers based on its score in the assessment and based on
unanimous support from the economy team.
The decision to score applications, although not necessary, was
made to evidence transparency and fairness in this
decision.
Alternative options considered
Yes – 4 proposals were received,
reviewed and scored. This proposal scored the highest and was felt
to be the right proposal for this project. 3 other proposals were
reviewed but rejected for varying reasons.
