To award the contract for roof replacement
works, including fascia, soffits, guttering, and downpipes, at xx,
xx & xx Collyer Avenue to NJS Roofing Ltd for the sum of
£51,008.00, subject to satisfactory contract terms. Legal
Services is authorised to apply the Council seal.

Reasons for the decision

The roofs at the specified properties have
reached the end of their serviceable life. A competitive tender
process was conducted, and NJS Roofing Ltd submitted the most
economically advantageous tender based on price and previous
performance. The works are necessary to meet the Council’s
obligations to maintain its housing stock in good
condition.

Alternative options considered

Other contractors were invited to tender. Five
tenders were received and evaluated. NJS Roofing Ltd was selected
based on best value and competency. No viable alternative to roof
replacement was identified due to the condition of the existing
roofs.
