To award contract to Full Tilt to decorate
hoardings on vacant plots at the Esplanade/Waterloo Square/Norfolk
Street, Bognor Regis
Reasons for the decision
Vacant plots fronting Waterloo
Square/Esplanade/Norfolk Street in Bognor Regis. Negotiations to
purchase the leasehold interests have been ongoing with the site
and are reaching a conclusion. The site has 3x sides and is
currently covered in black hoardings.
This project seeks to decorate the hoardings on Esplanade and
Norfolk Street with informational and wayfinding boards (in line
with the existing wayfinding in the town), to support local
businesses. This will also support residents and visitors.
Following a procurement process in line with ADC’s Contract
Standing Orders, two quotes from local suppliers Full Tilt and Sign
Quick were sought.
Quotes obtained:
Sign quick – Declined to quote
Full Tilt - £9,546.00
The other boards along Waterloo Square will be used as a youth
community art project.
Alternative options considered
No action – The site is in a
high-profile location where many visitors as well as residents will
see the site. The black hoarding had already started to attract
graffiti which gives a negative impression of the town.
