To direct award the above project to
Experience Sussex for the value of £1,800 to collaboratively
market this new project to tourists. In accordance with ADC’s
procurement process, based on the project value, a direct award was
made.
Reasons for the decision
This project will deliver the following
collaborative tourism marketing in partnership with Experience
Sussex through ADC’s Sussex By The Sea brand. With the aim to
encourage visitors (families) to visit Littlehampton during the
summer holidays, featuring the new seafront project as the
draw.
Marketing content includes:
• Paid social agency (to create content)
• 1 Boosted Facebook post ad
• Updates to and creation of a Littlehampton page on
Experience Sussex’s webpage
• Homepage banner on Experience Sussex’s webpage
• 1 feature in Experience Sussex’s newsletter
• 1 blog feature in Experience Sussex’s summer
blogs
• 1 Organic social media post
• 1 social media reel creation
• 1 influencer post
The decision to work with Experience Sussex was made because they
are the only Sussex wide tourism brand and therefore there is no
other possible collaboration. Sussex By The Sea will work
collaboratively to enable access to our 16,000+ followers and their
14,000+ followers.
This gives us a good reach to attract tourists to encourage visits,
spend and stay, supporting the local economy.
Alternative options considered
Do nothing and do not deliver the project
– rejected as this project has the ability to nationally
raise the profile of Littlehampton as a destination to visit.
