To instruct BCS Robertson to carry out
insulation works to the loft area of Bognor Regis Town
Hall.

Reasons for the decision

The previously existing loft insulation was
removed under previous works due to contamination by asbestos
containing materials and these works will reinstate the insulation
removed to maintain the thermal efficiency of the building.

Comparative quotes were sought from 3 different companies, and the
quotes received are set out below.

- BCS Robertson - £26,170.00
- Ashburner Construction Ltd – Tender not returned
- Halo Contractors Ltd – Tender not returned

These works is to be funded from the E50 budget codes.

Alternative options considered

Do nothing - however, this was rejected as in
the long term this would not be as cost effective due to increased
costs in heating, etc. due to the loss of thermal efficiency in the
roof space.
