To authorise Legal Services to enter into a
licence and execute all documentation required to complete it, of
land at London Road Coach/Lorry Park, Bognor Regis for the use as
Ice Rink and associated activities.

The Licence will be to MEC Events for a period beginning on 10th
November 2025 and ending on 14th January 2026

Reasons for the decision

To facilitate the event which provides amenity
and drives footfall for the town, provides clarity over
responsibilities, and a rental income for the council.

Alternative options considered

Not having an ice rink at this location
– loss of amenity.
Not using a licence to set out rights and responsibilities of the
council and the ice rink operator – higher risk.
