Approval to award the contract for roof
replacement works (including fascia, soffits, guttering, and
downpipes) at xx & xx Collyer Avenue to D Adams and Sons
Roofing Ltd for the sum of £43,314.00, subject to
satisfactory contract terms. Legal Services is authorised to apply
the Council seal.

Reasons for the decision

To meet the Council’s obligations to
tenants and leaseholders by maintaining housing assets in good
repair. The roofs are beyond repair and require full replacement.
The contractor was selected based on competitive pricing and proven
performance in previous lots.

Alternative options considered

Other contractors were invited to tender but
did not respond. Given the condition of the roofs, repair was not a
viable option.
