Approval to award the contract for the
replacement of pitched and flat roofs, Velux windows, borrowed
lights, fascia, soffits, and guttering with downpipes at Compton
Court to D Adams & Sons Roofing Ltd for the sum of
£282,609.00, subject to satisfactory contract terms. Legal
Services is authorised to apply the Council seal.

Reasons for the decision

To meet the Council’s obligations to
tenants and maintain housing assets in good repair. The roof and
associated components have reached the end of their life and are no
longer cost-effective to repair.

Alternative options considered

Repair was deemed unsuitable due to ongoing
issues and deterioration. A formal tender process was conducted via
Hampshire County Council’s DPS, with three compliant tenders
received. D Adams & Sons provided the best combination of price
and quality.
