To instruct solicitors Taylor Emmet solicitors
with a specialism in administering estates, to carry out legal work
in order to resolve a complex issue with an empty home that the
council’s own Legal team do not have the capacity to carry
out.

Complex piece of legal work required that we
are unable to progress in house.

Alternative options considered

The matter has been progressed as far as
possible in house. External legal expertise required to conclude an
ongoing empty homes matter.
