Include any Minute Numbers where a Committee
has resolved to grant delegated authority Agree to the increase in
Pest Control fees as proposed by AGS One, and attached to this
decision, to take effect 1 March 2026.

Reasons for the decision

The Pest Control Service was outsourced to AGS
One and the Council entered into a 5 year contract from 1 March
2021, which was extended for a further to 2 years to 1 March 2028,
which stipulated that:

The rates quoted in the Contractor’s tender and set out in
Schedule 2 will remain fixed until the end of the third year of
this Agreement with an option to review annually thereafter. The
rates shall only be adjusted with the agreement of both Parties
annually up or down on the anniversary of the Commencement Date in
line with the change in the Retail Price Index published by the
Office for National Statistics in the preceding month.

Therefore the increase in fees is based on 5.3%.

Alternative options considered

No increase in fees – This would not be
in accordance with the contract.

Increase the fees greater than 5.3% - This would not be in
accordance with the contract and would impact the residents of Arun
and therefore potential take up of service.
