To appoint Ashburner Construction Ltd to carry
out the works required to replace a section of boundary
wall

Reasons for the decision

These works were procured by inviting three
tenders. Ashburner Construction Ltd were the most economically
advantageous at £17,150 +VAT

Alternative options considered

1. Do nothing. This option was rejected as the
boundary wall currently needs replacing where the gap exists to
secure the whole boundary of the site.

2. Do not accept any of the three tenders. This option was rejected
as the competitive tenders received for these works demonstrate the
level of pricing that could be expected from re-tendering.
