To appoint Seaglow Media Limited to deliver
Sussex By The Sea social media marketing and website re-design from
1st April 2026 – 31st March 2029.

Reasons for the decision

In line with Arun District Council’s
Visitor Economy Strategy, the Council is responsible for
delivering, through the Sussex By The Sea brand, a website and
marketing. The Visitor Economy in the Arun district accounts for a
significant portion of the economy.

The current Sussex By The Sea marketing contract expires on 31st
March 2026, and the existing website and website contract is no
longer fit for purpose.

This contract will enable ADC to continue to develop the visitor
economy for the district, engaging new audiences and increasing
spend in our towns which will benefit the local economy.

The appointed supplier will deliver high-quality impactful digital
tourism marketing and design a new website to attract visitors and
strengthen the destination brand. The total contract value across
the three year contract is up to £95,000. The contract will
run 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2029.

Quotes were sought from local marketing agencies in accordance with
ADC’s procurement processes.

Assessments have been made against the brief and scoring matrix
spreadsheet. 2 quotes were received; these have been assessed and
scored independently and results compared by officers. Follow up
questions were requested from both organisations with a review by
the scoring officers after responses were received.

Following this, the decision has been made to award the contract to
Seaglow as it was the most advantageous of the quotes
submitted.

Alternative options considered

Quotes were invited from 4 potential
suppliers. 2 quotations were received. These are scored by 2
independent assessors, using a scoring matrix.
