To instruct Legal Services to prepare, review and complete a Nominations Agreement relating to the affordable housing development at Woodgate, Chichester (Oriel Woodgate), and to undertake all necessary legal work on behalf of Arun District Council.

Reasons for the decision

A Nominations Agreement is required to secure the Council's nomination rights for affordable housing units within the Woodgate development. Legal assistance was requested to ensure that the agreement is appropriately drafted, reviewed and completed in accordance with the Council's housing objectives and legal requirements.

Alternative options considered

Not entering into a Nominations Agreement was considered and rejected as this could limit the Council's ability to nominate eligible households for the affordable housing units and would not support the effective delivery of affordable housing within the district.
