Authorising Legal Services to enter into the agreement ensures the Council can secure access to affordable housing opportunities for eligible households in accordance with its housing objectives.

Alternative options considered

Not entering into a Nominations Agreement was considered and rejected as this could restrict the Council's ability to nominate households for the affordable housing provision and would not support the effective delivery of affordable housing within the district.
